Reactivate Proton's Mastodon account!
What a shame deactivating Proton's Mastodon account without any announcement, but only a change on the account's description!

Closing their Mastodon account was a bad choice by the management.

After having been in contact with Proton support, I received one last mail from them today saying
"We are actively developing numerous new features for Proton Drive in the forthcoming releases. Feel free to stay tuned to our blog for updates!
https://proton.me/blog
https://twitter.com/ProtonDrive
https://twitter.com/ProtonPrivacy"While I'll keep an eye on the blog, it's disappointing that Proton still use twitter as a main outlet for information. If this was used as a "legacy" outlet while Proton was building their presence on Mastodon it might have been understandable. Or, almost. However, that Proton has purposedly given up on Mastodon is, I think, very unwise and unfitting of its image as a privacy respecting and ethical alternative. Twitter might have a larger user base still, but like Wayne Gretzky Proton should skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been.

Hard to trust a company that prides themselves on protecting use privacy if they won’t put the effort into being active on privacy respecting communication platforms

Mastodon is the main place I get my information so want to see Proton there even if it's only a repost from elsewhere
