Download all files (including Docs) like Google Takeout
One button, or command line tool, that will download all files and Proton Docs files to my local computer.
You can implement this first in the browser with File System Access API. That is a single popup. And then you can do all the decrypting/rendering/saving from the browser. Yes really.

Just one of the dimensions for consideration here: how do you get all your photos in Photon Drive including meta data (albums, etc.) out of Proton? Not to leave the service but more importantly for personal backup reasons? The only way right now would be to select all and then download the pictures via the web interface.
Idea: enabling an "advanced option" that would show all photos as files in a dedicated (read only?) directory in Proton Drive would allow a filesystem level comsumption. Google Photos and Google Drive had this a long time ago and this was pretty useful. Alternatively: a "google takeout" style export function of all photos including the metadata.

Data autonomy includes being able to easily download and upload files as efficiently as technically possible. If you are purposfully prohibitiing this, you are not walking your talk Proton.

Yes! Should definitely be there, even though you may not be migrating to another provider anytime soon, it is a very important feature to have.
