Dump your CEO
The reason I joined Proton is to minimize this delulu AI culture. I can move elsewhere if you don't want me, Yen.
Proton CEO Andy Yen to his staff: “Stop lovingly handcrafting all our code and use AI more.”
404 Media saw these internal messages, in which he also said it was "loser thinking" to an employee who urged the company to at least take a few days to test newly written code before going live.

Thank you Andy for reminding us that cloud alternatives like Proton was never a true sovereign alternative to Big Tech, but local storage and compute is and always was.

This Andy Yen character is an idiot. Probably some MBA who’s never engineer anything in his life. “Move fast and break things” might work for Facebook but I would like my email to NOT move fast and DEFINITELY NOT break. I’ve terminated my subscription now. I’ll reenable it once this clown is gone.

The CEO should not be in the position he is in.
He is a threat to the organization and its beliefs.
I would prefer not having to self-host if possible, but it's starting to look like Andy is on his way to destroying Proton from the top down. This is weird behavior considering Proton isn't a publicly traded company. I am getting the awful feeling that some people in the C-suite are taking their Salaries for granted or worse... are looking to take Proton public.

The behavior exposed by 404 Media is not in line with what users/subscribers to Proton want, and it will cost the company. We want an eco system created carefully with the goals of privacy and security baked in with intention, not any old AI slop that can make production fast.

Additional context for anyone wondering:
https://www.404media.co/manifestos-fear-and-loser-thinking-inside-protons-ai-reckoning/This sort of megalomaniac BS is why I left Google, and feels antithetical to what Proton claims to be offering. Get rid of this dude pronto or there will be a massive drop in your user base.
