ISO 45001 certification for OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) management at Proton
Existing feature: Due to legal requirements I am sure that Proton already has a professional OHS management. Right?
However, because of the recent leadership blunders at Proton, I got curious to understand how Proton manages psychological health and safety at work (ISO 45003) of their 700+ employees. Unsurprisingly, like most competitors, Proton's OHS management isn't ISO 45001 certified. This means that Proton probably doesn't take care of the mental health of their employees better than their competitors. Put simply, as for the employees' OHS, Proton doesn't make any difference to how big tech competitors of Proton with their sociopathic leaders are treating their employees.
Of course, Proton is ISO 27001 certified. Thus, Proton knows the benefits of HLS management systems and how HLS audits are conducted. Therefore you also will know (and appreciate) how ISO 45001 audits need to be conducted. Or is your product more important than the people who produce it?
Admittedly, there isn't any legal requirement for Proton to get ISO 45001 certified. Admittedly, there also is no legal requirement that Andy Yen treats Proton employees with respect. But as a Proton customer, I expect that Proton goes beyond the legal requirements in Europe. Free food and "wellness" programs are nice, but not enough. Get an ISO 45001 certification, educate some employees (in yet to be implemented works councils) to run internal audits (ISO 19011) of the Proton OHS management system and show in https://proton.me/careers that you are committed to an above-standard OHS management.
