3. standard notes: Note sharing

   I have a suggestion.
   Sharing notes with someone else.

   Short explanation:
   If 2 users are using standard notes it should be possible to share notes between them.
   I can choose to share a note with another user.
   That other user can see the note between their own notes. They can hide the note if they want to.

   I think it would be best to work with an email.
   So if I decide to share it an email will be sent to the other user where he/she can accept the invitation and the note appears in their standard notes. The editing would work like in any other collaboration app. You can see the name of the other person if he/she is typing something.

   The owner of the note can choose if the other person can only see or also edit the note depending on the settings.

   This function already exists and in Google keep for example and is used in cloud driven office suits.

5. Allow Sub Labels

   Today we can have sub folders, but it would be very handy to also be able to add Sub Labels. For example I can then have a main Lable called Inboxes. And then I can create a specific Lable for every email account I have.

   I use email aliases extensively via SimpleLogin. If I send a Proton Meet invitation, however, it includes my real Proton Mail address. It should be possible to alias this, including setting a default alias

7. Create slim version for compatibility to old browsers

   Proton makes updates to their service time by time and every update breaks compatibility with a large old version browsers and systems. They do not consider that all hardware cannot work smoothly with latest OS versions and therefore, they have to use older browsers.

   In addition, some browsers which have many advantages over other browsers regarding stability and performance -like seamonkey- are not supported by proton at all.

   I know their reasoning is "update for security" but experience shows that servers who rely on day to day update are less secure because they do not informed well about security principals and expect updating or using latest versions of development tool kits keeps them secure.

   Proton criticizes google and other high techs for their monopoly policies while they test primarily their products to work with google chrome and do not concern about alternatives. This behavior is observed on many web sites today. Once they see their website/server works on google chrome well, they say it is OK; not important has problem with other browsers or not.

   I suggest please make a slim, pure html based version of proton to be compatible to all browsers though not supporting all features but at least the email service.

8. Proton meet - Lite - for families plan

   I have a families subscription with my siblings and elderly parents, and would benefit from having a scaled down version for the families subscription that is included. Limited time and or features, so families can see their loved ones for an hour every weekend or off business hours. Talk securely about family, medical plans etc.

9. screen sharing for helping friends and family, fix there computer from a far..

   Proton VNC or something.. Like "AnyDesk" but way more secure to help securely, connect two or more computers, for tech support, etc.. so you can help fix peoples computers, etc...all under the Proton label..
   could have a built in VPN (using your credentials) to connect directly to the other computer without the need of a server in between.. Peer-to-peer, Point-to-Point..
   actually maybe you could build this into the VPN client software. but with a toggle switch to completely bock it..

10. Report Phishing from Right Click Inbox

    I've noticed that when a new phishing email comes into my inbox that doesn't get filtered automatically into spam when I right click before opening the email there is no option to report phishing. It's only when you open the email that the report phishing option appears.
    Lately i've been receiving messages that contain what looks like code or some strange kind of encrypted code and an attached .sthml file

    I would like to be able to report these emails as phising, eventhough im not sure what they are, directly from the inbox before opening the email. Of course I block the sender and send to junk but just maybe the report would be better to help identify these strange emails better for the junk filtering.

15. Proton Docs - Scaling line height with font size

    When adjusting the font size to be small to fit a lot of content on a single page for printing, the line height spacing does not scale correctly. Right now, I'm annoyingly having to hack this myself by disabling the margin-top on the html before printing:

    Since signing up for Proton, I've been impressed in the overall quality of the products and services. There's just a number of quality of life features that are holding it back to be a complete replacement for document usage.

16. Have chat or phone support for mail and calendars

    Have a chat or phone support to be able to resolve issues or answer questions on the spot instead of it taking several days.

    The possibility to have a conversation would allow much faster resolution and much easier onboarding for new clients.

    One email every 24 to 72 hours means it can take over a week to resolve something and customers are stuck until the next email.

    In my case it has been 9 days, and I just realised the solution confirmed as valid despite my doubts, by CS in today’s email seems to actually be moot, delaying me again of an other 24hours at least.

19. Secure native integration of Proton services together and with external services (granular consent & scoped tokens)

    Many privacy‑focused users including myself run several Proton services alongside automation platforms such as Make and Home Assistant. Because Proton does not yet expose a secure, granular API, we have to resort to work‑arounds:

    Forward selected Proton Mail messages to a Gmail account.
    Let Make read that Gmail inbox, filter the messages, and then push the extracted data into Google Calendar or other third‑party services.

    As a result, Google (or any other intermediary) ends up with full visibility of the forwarded emails, and Make gains access to the entire mailbox, not just the specific messages we intended to share.
    These steps defeat the purpose of using Proton in the first place, because they expose private communications to external providers and increase the overall attack surface.
    Manually copy‑paste invoices or payment confirmations from Mail into Drive.
    Keep an old Google Mail/Calendar account just to feed third‑party tools.
    Build fragile work‑arounds (CSV exports, external webhooks, temporary storage) that increase the attack surface.
    What we need is a native, consent‑driven integration API inside Proton that provides:

    Conditional access rules, filter on sender/subject/body and grant explicit permission (e.g., “Allow Make to pull invoices from billing@myshop.com”).
    Secure webhooks – signed URLs that third‑party platforms can call to create or modify Proton objects (mail, file, calendar event).
    Scoped, fine‑grained tokens – read‑only, write‑only, or read‑write access limited to a single mailbox or a single Drive sub‑folder, with a dedicated folder ID.

    Explicit activation/deactivation – the integration does nothing until the user flips it on in the Proton dashboard; it can be turned off at any time, even if Proton flags the inter‑dependency as “risky”.
    Audit log – full history of API calls shown in the dashboard, with one‑click revocation of any token.
    Native Lumo integration – allow Lumo to query Mail and Drive using the same scoped tokens, so it can answer contextual questions like “What’s the coverage limit of my insurance?” by pulling the relevant contract from Drive and summarising the paragraph.
    Why this matters

    User‑controlled consent – every connection requires explicit opt‑in and targets only the data that is truly needed.
    Reduced attack surface – eliminates the need for external CSV files, public webhooks, or ad‑hoc scripts that break end‑to‑end encryption.
    Boosts Proton’s appeal – privacy‑first home‑automation fans (Home Assistant, Make, n8n) would adopt Proton far more readily if a secure bridge existed.
    Prevents unsafe work‑arounds – even if Proton does not officially recommend such cross‑service links, people will still build fragile hacks; an official, audited solution dramatically lowers real‑world risk.
    Potential impact

    Makes Proton a complete, privacy‑preserving platform for everyday automation.
    Attracts niche communities (home‑automation, low‑code workflow builders) that currently stay on less‑private stacks.
    Gives Lumo a powerful data‑source for contextual Q&A, increasing its usefulness.

    I’d like to suggest that Proton develop and release a new service called "ProtonCut," similar to CapCut, focused on easy video cutting, merging, and editing, with optional AI-based features. This service could integrate directly into the Proton ecosystem, protecting user privacy while allowing cloud uploads of projects to Proton Drive.

    Free users could access basic editing tools, while advanced Pro features—such as high-end AI editing, premium transitions, and export options—would be exclusive to Proton Visionary, Proton Unlimited, Family, Duo, or subscribers to "ProtonCut Plus," a new subscription that, like VPN Plus or Mail Plus, offers only the premium benefits specific to ProtonCut. ProtonCut Plus would not include additional advantages such as extra storage or benefits for other Proton services. It strictly provides premium features solely for ProtonCut, without extending any premium benefits to other Proton products. In this way, anyone could use the service for free with limited capabilities, while premium plan holders get the full power and feature set.
