Domain URL matching rules
Proton pass should have URL matching rules like bitwarden. This makes it easier to handle different usecases.
For instance, at work I have different usernames/passwords on different subdomains and I would like to be able to limit certain credentials to specific subdomains and have others shared accross multiple subdomains.
So that would be great to have a diffrent matching rules like:
- root domain
- hostname
- starts with
- regex
- exact match
- ...

Is the status here correct? Because looks like its on the roadmap: https://proton.me/blog/pass-roadmap-spring-summer-2026
(Really looking forward to it for my homelab setup even though the current mechanism works most of the time)

This is super important for Home Lab users who will have their own domain. When I visit any self hosted service, I have dozens of usernames that pop up and I can't select the right one from my mobile phone since the list is limited. This is critical.

This is such a simple feature and the only reason I remain on bitwarden

2026 feature still lacking :(

This is a basic feature all the competitors have. Easy enough to stay away from Proton Pass until they wake up I guess, everyone else can handle this.

For sites that use different domain but same account
examples)
proton.me, protonvpn.com
google.com, youtube.com
etc...Setting domain rules to treat them as the same site.
Like Bitwarden -

At least enable a toggle switch for enabling or disabling fuzzy match.
That will forces the manager to only show credentials that match the full app1.domain.com. and app2. domain.com.

I tried so hard to completely switch to Proton Pass, but I am once again switching back to Bitwarden.
This is still an absolute deal-breaker for me.

I'm baffled how devs still have not implemented this feature

literally even just a small checkbox that would require an exact match could be implemented in a few hours and be light years better than their current implementation

I have lots of sites that are subdomains of a parent domain, and my old password manager could tell the difference. Would be great it Proton Pass would finally do that too.

I host a Vaultwarden server just to get around this short coming of Proton Pass. Would love to simply have everything via Proton-Pass

This is a simple security and time-saving feature, which does not seem that hard to implement. Instead of pushing Lumo, Calendar, or Wallet - it would be much nicer to have this added. It is not even a complicated feature to implement compared to what features like CLI

Are we actually serious here? such basic component that hasn't been implemented since 2023? what are these devs doing bro... we really do need this!

I really miss this feature in Proton Pass comparing with Bitwarden. As a web developer, I often deal with preview environments of web applications (e.g. deployed via Vercel). Most of them use the same login and password, but currently there doesn’t seem to be a way to configure Proton Pass to work with those domains.

When saving a new password, the title of the entry should be the site/service/app name, not the full URL. For example, saving a FB login would show Facebook as the entry title, not www.facebook.com/login as the title.

This will stop me from switching to Proton pass

Almost 3 years now. 🥳
I really like proton pass but this is really painful to have to go over dozens of credentials before finding the good one, especially on phone because the priority is something like "latest used" and we always have to open proton pass to search for the correct credentials.
