Merge similar entries
Google Contacts has this cool feature that allows you to merge multiple entries into a single record when they are the same but contain slightly different data. As I went through manually adding the 6 different URLs logged by previous password managers for my credit card and deleting the redundant ones, this suddenly seemed like an amazing feature.

Totally agreeing with all comments, especially when importing from several sources it would be massively beneficial to have a sophisticated password merging and aggregation feature. I rather want to see all my credentials under one "domain.tld" item than having twenty items for every subdomain - especially if the credentials are identical!

Slightly different URLs needing the same password then get detected as duplicate passwords for the same service.
Merging of URL's would be very beneficial. -

I am in favour of this feature and I am still wondering until six months after when, why there is not a single word of confirmation on how this is implemented. This app feature is critical to we are bringing in data from multiple password managers, making there many, duplicate records everywhere. Combining two of them and deleting the duplicates manually is a very annoying task.

as someone new to proton, this would help onboarding and transition my data from google and apple.

I would add that importing credential from different browsers also leads to duplicate entries, being able to merge them would be awesome. Helps with the onboarding of new users.
