Let us merge entries in Proton Pass, especially ones with passkeys and TOTP
Proton Pass creates duplicate entries way too easily. This happens when:
- I save a passkey for a site I already have a password saved for
- I re-save credentials with small changes (e.g. www vs non-www)
- I import data from other password managers
For normal entries, I can technically merge things myself by copying info around or using "add URL", but that gets tedious fast when I have a bunch to clean up.
The real problem is passkeys and TOTP tokens.
They can't be moved or copied at all. So if Proton creates a new entry for a passkey or a TOTP token, I'm stuck with two separate entries for the same account. The only way to fix it is to manually move everything else (username, password, notes, etc.) into the new entry that contains the passkey or TOTP. I've had this happen many times. One entry has all my info, and a passkey or 2FA save splits it off into a brand new entry. That creates a lot of friction and wasted time.
It gets even worse when a passkey ends up in one entry and the TOTP ends up in another. Since neither can be moved, there's no way to merge them at all.
What would help:
- A simple merge tool (select entries -> "merge")
- Automatically suggest merges when duplicates are detected
- Merge everything cleanly: passkeys, passwords, notes, TOTP, etc.
This would massively improve organization and make it easier to switch to Proton Pass or manage vaults long term, especially for anyone using passkeys and 2FA.

I signed up for Proton Pass Plus today and only a couple of hours into migrating passwords, passkeys and TOTP things over to Proton I miss this feature badly.
OP describes the situation perfectly and I'm surprised both that this feature is missing and the not more people are bothered.
