Adding dedicated, structured identity fields to Proton Pass would make it a much more complete and practical secure vault for storing personal documents and important records. Instead of relying on generic notes, users could save detailed information for ID cards, Social Security numbers, driving licenses, passports, tax numbers, multiple addresses, and multiple phone numbers using purpose-built fields such as document number, issue date, expiration date, issuing country, and place of issue. This would improve organization, make information easier to search and update, and reduce the risk of missing renewal dates by enabling future reminder features. It would also benefit people managing international identities or multiple residences. For example, users organizing tax-related records could conveniently store their tax identification details alongside resources like https://aftertax.org.uk/250k-after-tax/ to better understand UK salary and tax calculations, making Proton Pass an even more comprehensive solution for securely managing both credentials and personal identity information.

There are custom fields and custom sections, but they look a bit messy.
For the beginning I fully agree with the original post author on all points.
Would be also great to:
* Being able to remove pre existing sections
* Make new sections and fields that look exactly as original. Now they feel like second-grade fields.
* Add fields of existing types, such as phone number and email, not just text. So that they can be used later as typed suggestions somewhere.* Add pictures/files to a section. Such as add passport photo to passport section, driver license to its section, maybe an entrance photo to address of something section.
