Separate proton pass from account suspensions
I am writing to express a concern regarding the current account suspension policy and its impact on Proton Pass users.
Currently, when the anti-abuse system triggers a suspension, it affects the entire Proton account rather than the specific service involved. This approach presents a significant risk for users who rely on Proton Pass to access essential non-Proton services, such as online banking and government websites. If access to Proton Pass is revoked due to a false positive or an issue related specifically to Proton Mail, users are effectively locked out of their entire digital lives.
I would like to suggest a more measured approach, such as suspending outgoing email capabilities if spam is suspected, while maintaining access to Proton Pass. Ensuring that password access remains uninterrupted is critical for user security and reliability.
I hope you will consider implementing a more granular suspension policy to protect users from being completely locked out of their essential non-proton related accounts.
