Built in keyboard for PIN (and master password) on touchscreen devices
Very easy to implement in the app while it entirely avoids the critical risks that users are exposed to when they are unaware that they're using vulnerable 3rd party keyboards.

proton pass account switch and proton pass lock fix
in the proton pass extension, i cannot switich account unlike the app, i have to signout change enter login information, etc. which is tiring when repeating everytime, if you can add a drop menu for account menu(adding an account or signing out.)|
everytime i signout due to the extension function. i get asked everytime to get it locked, i want to lock it but it gets removed once i sign out, can it be something to be saved and not something to reenter everytime?
Thank you for your comprehension

Develop native desktop apps
Currently, Proton Pass for desktop uses an Electron-based framework which is not the best for security and performance. Please develop native apps for Proton Pass across the clients.

Allow Proton Pass to change Alias Prefix defaults
Since I have imported my Vault from Bitwarden, all of the Credential Names in my vault have ".com" at the end.
When creating an Alias through Proton Pass, the Prefix defaults to the Whole Name of the Credential, not the Domain.
As a result, the following Alias will be formatted like:
"google.com.abc123@simplelogin.com"
instead of:
"google.abc123@simplelogin.com"Because of this, there are many websites that will refuse to accept these Aliases due to its format.
There is no way of changing the Default Prefix in Proton Pass, so every time I have to create an Alias, I have…3 votes -
"basic auth autofill"
The feature "Basic Auth autofillAutofill HTTP basic auth dialogs with saved credentials." is a bit too extreme. It really tries to already log in. That goes too far. If I have multiple logins per URL, this feature will try many times the wrong password and ban my IP.
It should just work like on Chrome, where the fields of basic auth are prefilled and i can still check what it did and then press enter.
It is also spooky to never really know if a site had the basic auth popup or not, as it is automatic. I don't like…5 votes -
Change default name of file with recovery codes
The file with the 2FA recovery codes is named "proton2FArecovery_codes.txt" by default. It'd be wise to exclude (at the very least) the initial "proton" from its name, since it's quite easy for almost anyone to deduct where it comes from and what can it be used for...

Ability to Limit Access to Specific Vaults for Emergency Contacts
I'm so happy that Proton introduced the Emergency Access feature!
Instead of allowing an emergency contact complete access to the entire account, I'd like to limit the emergency contact's access to perhaps specific vaults within Proton Pass. This way, my entire email history, etc. will still be protected, but if I wish to share that information, the credentials will be stored in the Vault that will be shared with the emergency contact if deemed necessary by me, the end user.
Allowing emergency contacts access to just what would be needed in an emergency situation, instead of everything by default, would…

Improve "Copied to clipboard" pop up warning
Currently, when clicking the Email or Password field, the desktop app shows a pop up warning alerting the user has copied data from the vault i.e.,: "Copied to clipboard (expires in X seconds)". However, this behavior is not consistent as copying parts of a note for example does not trigger this warning. Please make the pop warning show up any time something is copied. Ideally, this warning would also appear in the iOS and Android app.

Fix Proton Pass Security Flaw
As a security conscious proton user on a plan that includes proton pass I want proton to, for Pass specifically, implement the use of a secret key (like 1Password) to secure my Proton Pass account, so that I do not have to worry about the all eggs-in-one basket problem of having pass as part of my single proton account identity and can also rest assured that should someone compromise proton’s systems and acquire a copy of my encrypted vault that a brute force attack would be impossible as the vault is not just encrypted with my password but also the…

Password login Each time it opens
I would use the Proton Pass password manager if it required a log in each time I open a new instance after closing the app. I don't like to hold my phone in a constant death grip to prevent people from accessing my accounts if I'm around acquaintances. My current password manager gives me peace of mind by requiring the password each time I open it, much like the banking apps do. That way I can log out of any apps that may have sensitive or private information and my password manager can't be opened by anyone who happens to…

More security options for locking Proton Pass
Right now Pass is locking if you close the App to the tray. Please change that to allow more options for handling that. In Enpass you have many options for this.
I woul like to add a screenshot to show you how that looks like in Enpass but I can´t upload any images here.2 votes -

Proton Pass web extension UX is confusing
The filter button in the top left lacks a label, which makes it difficult to identify at first glance. It reads as a generic button rather than an active filter. It took me a while why I was only seeing my "cards", and couldn't figure out why.
If a persistent label isn't feasible due to space constraints, surfacing the applied value inline (e.g., "Filter: Logins") would improve recognition without requiring users to recall what the button does.

Custom Icons and Colors for Proton Pass
Hello Proton Team,
First of all, thank you for building a privacy-focused ecosystem. I've been using Proton services extensively, especially Proton Pass, and I have a suggestion that I believe would greatly improve organization and usability.
Custom Icons
It would be extremely useful if users could assign custom icons to:
- Vaults
- Aliases
- Individual credentials (logins, cards, notes, identities, etc.)
This would make it much easier to visually identify items, especially for users who manage hundreds of credentials.
Custom Colors
In addition to icons, allowing users to choose custom colors would improve organization even further.
Ideally, users could:
- Pick any color…

list double entries
Especially when having imported secrets from other passwords managers, it would be very helpful if a function/ view would exist showing double entries and providing them to be merged into one item entry.

Associate alias with login under one record
I find that I end up tracking two items for a number of logins: the login record and an associated email alias. Would it make sense to have the alias be a sub-record of the login record?

Two factor authenticator system
I want to give you a very important friendly compliment about two-step authentication. When I select the Yubikey physical security keys, the system throws a backup codes window. However, the level of security between the physical security key and backup codes is not acceptable, because we cannot compare Yubikey's physical security keys with backup codes that can be stolen by advanced hackers and spyware on a virus-infected device. Therefore, what the system does wrong is that it throws up a window of backup codes that can be copied by hackers. Of course, I can use all the backup codes, but…
