  1. In Proton Pass add "add section" for all types of entries (not just identities).

Being able to add sections allow to store e.g. a second password, several serial numbers, several IBAN number etc. that belongs to an entry. This can be relevant for a login where a second password. is necessary. or a login associated to a bank account and a mobile account, where I don't have a separate entry but I want to keep things together.

Organizing the information in sections makes this really easy to grasp (UX, overview) and also possible to collect different types of information about one thing (multi-usefulness).

Interestingly enough 'add section' already exists with the "Identity" type of…

  4. Use Proton Pass from the macOS menubar

At present, the Proton Pass icon in the macOS menu bar is only able to open or quit the application. I would like to have the possibility to have a window open where I can find or create new items, just like the browser extension, without opening the entire application.

  6. favorite logins at the top

For example, I have 5 Google logins, so the one I've favorited will always be on top when the password fill pop-up comes up on the browser. Favorite mark should also show on the Proton Pass Win app

  7. Custom Field Rearrangement, Clone, PIN, Web Icons, Phone Number & Profile Photo

    1. Custom Field Rearrangement – Ability to rearrange custom fields across login items, identities, and other item types.

    2. Clone Login Items – A cloning/duplicate feature for login items, which is very necessary for efficiency.

    3. PIN Field for Logins – Addition of a dedicated "PIN" field alongside username and password for login items.

    4. Web Icons Not Displaying Consistently – Many login items do not show their respective website icons, while some do. It would be great if all items could reliably display icons for quick recognition.

    5. Phone Number Field in Login Items – Some websites allow login via either email or mobile…

  8. Labeled Vault icons and custom icons

I have difficulties to understand what all Vault icons stands for. It would be easier to choose the appropriate icon for your vault if they are labeled. I wish to request these suggestions beneath:

    1. Labeled Vault icons.
    2. More icons.
    3. Custom icons.

Please vote if you also would like to see this and please share your thoughts or even suggestions to be added to this. Thanks in advance.

  9. Pass Monitor: flag stale / obsolete entries (dead domains, long-unused logins)

Pass Monitor currently identifies weak, reused, and compromised passwords — which is excellent. I'd like to suggest an additional detection category: stale and obsolete entries.

For users with large vaults (e.g. 1,000+ entries), many logins accumulate over years for services that no longer exist, domains that have expired, or accounts that have never been accessed. These entries add noise and make vault hygiene harder.

    Requested behaviour

Dead domain detection — flag entries where the stored URL no longer resolves (DNS check, client-side or server-side)
Inactivity flag — surface entries that have not been autofilled or edited in over N years…

  10. Proton Account Security: Automatic 2FA deactivation after logging in without security key

When I try to bypass 2FA using my secret phrase or secondary email one time code, not only it deactivates 2FA, it removes all the available security keys saved. I propose to only disable 2FA, to let the user choose if they want to enable it in the future, and let them delete it after only if they want to

Even asking if they want to delete the keys and disabling is a better option than to automatically delete everything

  12. Improved custom rules for Autofill

As some of you may have noticed, certain websites simply don't cooperate with Proton Pass's default autofill logic - the fields aren't detected correctly, or the site's structure confuses the autofiller entirely, so it fails to fill in your credentials.

Bitwarden has recently tackled this exact problem with their "Fill Assist" system, which uses community-submitted custom rules to fix autofill on sites that don't play nicely with standard detection. It would be great if Proton Pass could implement something similar, so we don't have to reinvent the wheel:

  13. Add password creation date, expiration duration, and renewal notifications (for AD & service accounts)

Would it be possible to display the password creation date on an item and associate it with a validity duration / expiration period?Based on this duration, Proton Pass could send an optional notification to alert the user that the password needs to be renewed soon. This feature would be highly useful for technical environments, such as Active Directory (AD) accounts, system accounts, and Windows Service accounts. It would prevent keeping outdated passwords active and allow users to renew credentials proactively before they expire or break a service.

  14. Feature Request: Quick Settings Shortcut + Random Username Generator

Feature Request: Quick Settings Shortcut + Random Username Generator

Hi Proton Pass team and community! 👋

I've been using Proton Pass for a while now and really appreciate the focus on privacy and security. I wanted to submit two feature requests that could make the app even more convenient for daily use:

    1. Quick Settings Shortcut (Android)

It would be great to have a Quick Settings tile for Proton Pass, similar to what Bitwarden offers. This would allow users to:

    • Quickly access the vault
    • Copy credentials faster in situations where speed matters
    • Have a more seamless experience across the system This…

  15. Full auto-logout after user-specified duration

The master password and 2FA method are used far too rarely to access Proton Pass.

Currently, you can set up a PIN or biometrics to access your Proton vault seemingly indefinitely. I believe this can make it harder to remember your master password, or spot issues with your 2FA method. I also believe this is a security risk for any devices that are left unattended for an extended time; a 6-digit code is more easily leaked than a strong master password!

I would like for Proton Pass to implement a feature in which the user can – but doesn't have…

  16. CLI: expose and update "last used" time for items

CLI: expose and update "last used" time for items

The Proton Pass apps (desktop, browser, mobile) all track and show when each item was last used, which makes it easy to spot stale credentials and to sort by what you actually use. The CLI is the only client that ignores this: it never shows a "last used" value and never updates it, even though the API already returns the field.

I'd love the CLI to match the apps here:

    1. Show "last used" in item list / item view JSON output, alongside the created/modified times that are already there.
    2. Update it…

  17. Add offline access to pass-cli

It’s great that Proton Pass now supports offline access, and it'd be great if pass-cli permitted access the same items as the Proton Pass GUI app. Even read-only offline access with pass-cli would be really useful.

  19. Feature Request: Support for "Sign in with Google / Apple" (SSO) detection & autofill

    Hi Proton team,

I am currently testing Proton Pass as a potential replacement for 1Password, but I noticed a missing feature that is crucial for my daily workflow: the ability to automatically detect, save, and prompt third-party SSO logins (like "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple").

Currently, if I click "Sign in with Google" on a website, Proton Pass ignores the action and doesn't prompt to save it. 1Password handles this perfectly by remembering the exact SSO method used and offering it as a 1-click login the next time I visit the site.

    Having to manually create…

  20. Multiple accounts / logins for Proton Pass

I have multiple Proton accounts (for work and private) and I would like to see that Proton Pass can have multiple accounts logged in.
In the same way that Proton Mail works; you can "Add another account" and can easily switch between these accounts. And I would like to see the same behavior for Proton Pass (and preferably the browser extension).
