1. Auto / Bulk change passwords on websites with generated passwords.

   This is a super lofty request but would absolutely crush competition. Allow an end-user to "bulk" change passwords with proton pass's auto generated passcodes (more secure). It would trigger a request to each of the unique domains and (magically) go through their password reset process and change it to the newly generated passcode. If it "fails", just report back a "fail" and those passcodes can be changed manually. It would be amazing to be able to update all passwords simultaneously as part of a routine security measure.

2. Simplify the left sidebar on desktop

   The left sidebar on desktop is too busy and makes using it on small screens quite difficult. It's difficult to see how this will scale up in its current form as more features get added to the product.

   The vaults list should be collapsible.

   Pass Monitor should be elevated to a main tab.

   A profile tab with secure links, settings, etc should be added like on mobile.

   Advanced, feedback, and mobile apps menus should be moved into the settings cog. Feedback, community links, and mobile apps could sit under the Support tab within settings.

   Lock Proton Pass could be moved to a lock icon next to the settings cog.

3. macOS and Linux desktop apps installable via Homebrew package manager

   Publish the macOS and perhaps even the Linux applications as Homebrew casks (https://brew.sh) so they can be installed in a repeatable manor from the command line like other proton applications such as proton-mail, proton-drive, protonvpn etc.

4. 'Hidden" text field for 'Cards'

   Please add an 'Hidden' text field/note for 'Cards' in Proton Pass (same as for 'Logins', at the bottom)

   I'd for example want to add a hidden card serial number, not visible as a note, but can't. And doesn't fit in PIN, security code, etc.

5. Sharing individual items

   Allow Proton Pass to share a singular password through multiple (but separate) vaults and/or shared individuals. This avoids creating duplicate passwords once sharing accounts.

6. Proteccion opcional por contraseña en lugar de la biometria.

   Hola, desde que descubri Proton Pass, me ha encantado la idea de que toda mi informacion este protegida y encriptada, pero hay una sugerencia de seguridad que quiero hacer y es que Proton Pass movil podria tener una opcion de bloqueo opcional que podria ser mediante la contraseña adicional, de buzon o de la cuenta, segun el nivel de proteccion que haya configurado el usuario, para cifrar y bloquear la informacion en el dispositivo, asi como lo hace Bitwarden, porque la proteccion por biometria podria ser vulnerada para obtener las credenciales almacenadas si mi telefono es robado o infectado por algun malware, asi que la proteccion por contraseña maestra para el bloqueo y cifrado en reposo en el dispositivo seria una buena caracteristica. Espero que ustedes puedan hacerme caso y agregar esa caracteristica. Fuera eso mi calificacion es 10/10 para Proton.

7. New entry/items options

   At present the only items options you have are: Login, Alias, Card, Note, Password. Would you please also have options for Social Security Keys, Software Licenses, Identity Cards or Drivers Licenses, Health Insurance Cards, and Bank Accounts?

9. Change the 'Filter vault items' to multi-selection list

   When using the 'Filter vault items' list I only have the option to select a single category such as 'Logins', 'Aliases'... etc or 'All' which is everything.

   However what if I want to search 'Logins' & 'Aliases' but exclude everything else?

   I propose you remove the 'All' category and turn the 'Filter vault items' list into a multi-selection list.

   Categories that are selected are searched (as indicated by the tick) and categories that aren't selected (no tick mark) are not searched.

10. Overlay over HTML dialog element

    Currently the overlay suggesting username/password on websites may be "hidden" if the form with the fields is inside HTML element dialog. For example, check login form (button on the right) at https://www.simbiat.dev/ It may be difficult to see sometimes, depends on the height of the overlay, but if it is tall enough or you make the form block transparent - you will see how it's behind the dialog element. 1Password has no issues with this, though.

11. Lock extension in one click (lock button on top of main UI)

    Being able to lock the extension quickly is beneficial to security and privacy, such as in a busy workplace or public space. Currently we need to click into navigation and find the lock function in the menu, which takes extra time and clicks.

    I propose having a lock icon/button on the top of the extension UI, near the search bar or "Add new item" button, for easy and fast extension locking when needed.

    Bonus points if we can set keyboard shortcuts but not sure how feasible that is.

    As Proton continues to lead in the realm of digital security and privacy, I would like to propose an enhancement to Proton Pass that aligns with the growing demand for decentralized identity management.

    Proton Pass has already established itself as a secure and convenient tool for managing passwords and digital identities. The recent addition of the "Identities" feature, which allows users to store complete digital identities for faster form filling and website registrations, is a fantastic step forward. I believe Proton can take this one step further by incorporating support for Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) and Verifiable Credentials (VCs) into Proton Pass.

    What are DIDs and VCs?

    DIDs are a new type of identifier that enables verifiable, self-sovereign digital identities. Unlike traditional identifiers (such as email addresses), DIDs are fully under the control of the user and are not reliant on centralized registries, authorities, or intermediaries. Verifiable Credentials (VCs) are digital statements that are cryptographically secure, privacy-respecting, and verifiable, often issued by trusted institutions or peers. These technologies are designed to work together to create a more secure and private internet by giving users greater control over their personal information.

    Why Integrate DIDs and VCs in Proton Pass?

    Enhanced User Control and Privacy: By supporting DIDs and VCs, Proton Pass can give users even more control over their digital identities, allowing them to securely store, manage, and share their credentials without relying on centralized entities.

    Future-Proofing Proton Pass: As the adoption of decentralized identity technologies grows, Proton Pass will be well-positioned to meet the needs of users who are increasingly looking for ways to manage their identities in a decentralized and secure manner.

    Seamless Integration with Existing Features: DIDs and VCs can complement the existing identity management features in Proton Pass, making it a one-stop solution for all types of digital identity management—centralized and decentralized alike.

    Security and Trust Alignment: Proton’s mission to protect and secure user data aligns perfectly with the principles of decentralized identity. By integrating DIDs and VCs, Proton Pass would reinforce its commitment to user privacy and security in a world that is increasingly moving towards decentralized systems.

    There already exists tech stacks and services designed to enable developers to easily add decentralized identity tools and services to their digital products (such as the Vidos). Many of these are built in accordance with W3C standards and can resolve DIDs across any blockchain or DID method and verify VCs from any issuer.

    I'd love to see Proton ensure a smooth and secure integration of these technologies into Proton Pass.

    Integrating DIDs and VCs into Proton Pass would not only provide users with enhanced privacy and security but also position Proton as a leader in the emerging decentralized identity landscape.

16. Policies for business

    Will be great if with policies we could enforce things like "Enable authentication logs" and "Enable advanced logs".
    Enforcing PIN for all users will be great policy!

19. Improve CSV import

    Hi,

    There is a bug when we import our passwords from a CSV file.

    If one of passwords contains a comma, ex: Josueuw,+@

    The part after the comma is not imported, proton saves only Josueuw and skip ,+@

    I just discovered it now because one of my passwords were not working

    I had a chance and I did not removed my passwords from LastPass

    Please fix it, thank you
