I can't believe that a company that's dedicated to privacy and security didn't realize how insecure it is to leave a PASSWORD MANAGER unlocked or locked with a weak PIN, please add Touch ID to the macOS app and Safari extension, this is critical!

biometric authentication is a "must"

Specifically, it would be great if the extension could support biometric authentication (e.g., fingerprint or facial recognition) for unlocking. This would add an extra layer of security and convenience for users who prefer biometric methods over traditional passwords/PIN.

When used with Mac OS and Safari, unlocking with Touch ID would be a useful addition instead of entering a PIN. Identical to iOS.

+3 La biométrie authentifie la personne, pas le pin code, la biométrie est ainsi plus sûre

as an inspiration: heylogin does that via phone as 2nd factor, and it's a fantastic sign-in experience because it becomes completely passwordless

I makes me really uncomfortable that the extension auto-unlocks and I really don't want to have to remember another pin code.
For the Web Extension using the Browsers WebAuthn API they could add support for both Security keys like Yubikey and Device Biometrics like a laptops fingerprint reader.
This would also bring better alignment to the mobile apps. -

Yes, this would be very useful. Also, biometrics to open the main app, outside of a browser. I have been using Kaspersky Password Manager on my phone, and using the biometric fingerprint scan saves so much time, as well as being more secure. For Android users as well as just the Apple users, of course.

Unlock browser extension using fingerprint would be a huge improvement. Don't know if this is technically possible from the extension but as we have a Desktop App now, it should be possible to do it the same way bitwarden does. -

Would be nice if the (MacOS/Desktop) Pass version would be secured by biometric check if you want to open / use it. Already implemented in the mobile version (FaceID).
