Offering something that does not make any sense whatsoever. People asked for biometric on Windows app thinking it would be used as authentication for the browser extension. Proton enabled biometric on Windows app but it acts as standalone and has nothing do with the browser extension... so why do we need biometric for the desktop app while browser extension isn't affected by it at all. If I leave browser extension unlocked as per Proton suggested, then why does the desktop app needs biometric option???

You can't search word in message body. Even Proton confirmed this themselves.Rzzzz shared this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Rzzzz commentedIt doesn't even have photo backup in their apps, let alone a function to migrate from Google Photos to Proton Drive.

An error occurred while saving the comment Rzzzz commentedNo. for proton's in-house domain names, Yes for customs domains.
This will hurt Proton reputation in the long run if there's "unlimited" alias for proton domains. Too many bad actors are already using Proton for illegitimate purpose because of how Proton is good at privacy and anonymity. Other service will eventually blacklist Proton altogether. There are good reasons why Gmail and Outlook are accepted worldwide and one of the reasons is they don't offer "unlimited" alias. However, I would like unlimited alias for customs domains. Fastmail has done exceptional job at aliases for custom domains, no one has even come close to them and billion years ahead of Proton. Simplelogin, while it could serves as a workaround and an alternative to Fastmail but at the end of the day, it is still a "disposal email service" and have been banned by many.
WOW, Proton did it again. Offering something that does not make any sense whatsoever. People asked for biometric on desktop app thinking it would be used as biometric authentication for the browser extension similar to what 1Password did. Then Proton enabled biometric on Windows app, but it acts as standalone and has nothing do with the browser extension... so what is the point of having biometric in the desktop app if browser extension couldn't take advantage of it and stays unlocked all the time??
