Folders and nested subfolders
I want to be able to use folders and sub-folders. I use strongbox on iOS which is based on keepass. It allows for as many folders and sub-folders that you want. I use folders to keep my stuff organized. I don't like having all my passwords and whatever in one big long list. I also using keepass as a bookmark manager. I really like the idea of your "vaults", but again I have over like 3000 bookmarks and folders are really needed. Also attachments with built in viewer is also important. I like to convert a lot of websites to PDF and store them as attachments, so I can view them later. Keepass is the only one that can view said items, everyone else you have to download said item to view the attachment.
This feature is now a work in progress

After using Keepass for so long with folders since I can remember, I don't now how this is not a basic feature of ProtonPass. It is so difficult to find something here at times.

Folders and/or tags, please. Best with an option to switch between list view and folder view. At a certain amount of records, the list just gets too long and one does not always know necessarily which word to use for a search (or there are typos so a record won't be found)

I will be using Proton Pass, but indeed something like folders or tags is missing. I use tags extensively in 1Password

This feauture is critical for our company to migrate to Proton Pass to keep things organized.

This is the only reason I'm not moving from KeePassXC to Proton Pass.
I'll migrate as soon as this feature is launched. -

I will like to add when creating folders for Proton, I will like to have the number of items in that folder next to the folder like keepass does. Don't know if that is a big thing, but it does help.

I work for a MSP, and also have a large number of personal and family-shared passwords. I currently use Keepass, and have about 700 passwords spread over about 60 folders, in 3 different kdbx files (equivalent of Vaults?).
I would love to move away from Keepass, but without nested Folders/Groups that is so not happening.

This would help me to better organize my logins and I think it is a critical feature.

For me, I need hierarchical folders because I have a memory problem specific to proper names (of people, places, and things alike) and often cannot remember the name of the service I want to log into. The modern UI trend of "just throw everything into one big pile and use search/filter to find what you need when you need" really, really doesn't work for me, because if I can't remember the name of the thing I need to find, well, I can't search for it!
With folders, I can easily find things by navigating to say, Entertainment > Online Games or Finances > Insurance, and scrolling through the small number of things in that folder; I'll know what I'm looking for when I see the name and icon. If any one folder gets too big, I can easily break it up into further subcategories.
Tags are better than nothing, but unless they can be navigated in a hierarchy like folders, they just replace "scroll through 500 logins" with "scroll through 75 tags".
I'm looking at ProtonPass as a potential replacement for Bitwarden, but the lack of categories is currently a deal-breaker. (Looking to leave Bitwarden because, among other things, their recent UI changes made categories much harder to navigate.)

Wanting to migrate from another PW system, but have several hundred entries by category - not feasible until PPass implements some kind of folder or group system

This is almost the only reason from keeping me off from switching to Proton Pass

FOLDERS or TAGS, Until one of these organizational tools is part of Proton Pass, I doubt it will ever be my primary go to or top recommend for password management. The 'Vaults' option is a limited weak substitute.

I have just tested Proton Pass and imported my Bitwarden exports. Unfortunately, neither folders are imported nor can you create any afterwards. For me, this is a k.o. criteria. It would be nice if this were integrated soon.

As a proton visionary user, this is the only feature that is holding me back. I really would like to ditch lastpass, but I want to be able to see my credentials in aggregate somehow. Folders, Labels, whatever you choose, search is just not enough for the quantity of login data I will be storing. Please, just implement something!

Tags and folders are completely different.
Tags can be used across multiple vaults, folders live in a vault. Two different features, both would be lovely to have.
Folders or sub vaults. Allowing to break up say a personal vault into smaller chunks for organizational purposes. This also allows for not having too many vaults which can get cumbersome.
Tags are useful to combine similar types of logins for quick reference. Example: if you have different vaults associated with different companies you might work with. Each of them have their own Google login. Having a google tag to show your curated list of often used logins would be helpful

Also, I read the debates below. I don't understand why people have to choose between "Tags" or "Folders". Why can't PP Developers implement both. It's hardly no code whatsoever, if you get cranking and have enough Diet Coke ... it's a long weekend (if that). For me, I really want to move to Proton and to PP, but it's hard to leave Lastpass without these capabilities. For me, I might just have to find something else, but I hate BitWarden's UI too. It ain't up-to-snuff like Proton-Pass is. If they only gave a little development to folders and tags ... wow, many people would move away from Lastpass.
