Domain URL matching rules
Proton pass should have URL matching rules like bitwarden. This makes it easier to handle different usecases.
For instance, at work I have different usernames/passwords on different subdomains and I would like to be able to limit certain credentials to specific subdomains and have others shared accross multiple subdomains.
So that would be great to have a diffrent matching rules like:
- root domain
- hostname
- starts with
- regex
- exact match
- ...

Oh, so it still hasn't been implemented! Once a year, I switch from Bitwarden to Proton Pass to see how it's coming along, but I go right back to Bitwarden as soon as I see that this essential feature is still missing. Too bad—I'll check back in a year. :)

It really is a necessary feature, I spent a bunch of time switching over from BitWarden only to learn I likely have to switch back until you implement this. Can you explain why you have not, or provide any update?

It is really disappointing to see that Proton hasn't moved this from "Under Review" status. The request has been in this status for almost 2 years with almost 1800 votes. What is it going to take for Proton to take this request seriously?

It is a really important feature. coming from Bitwarden, it feels stupid why they have not implemented such a basic feature.

i store many services in my domain, too boring to see 10 items pop for password when i have subdomains for each app !

How long does this critical feature need to be "Under Review"? This has got to be hurting your bottom line.
Fix this, and I will buy your pro subscription tomorrow.
Please, please, please get it done. I can then get rid of ZohoVault, which drives me crazy.
It's like finding a great deal on a supercar only to find it's missing the engine.

This is one of the 2 features I miss the most from 1Password. This password manager was just flawless for me, and started using Proton pass because I took a pack with other stuff, and this feature (and another) really make me wonder if this is a good investment

Is the status here correct? Because looks like its on the roadmap: https://proton.me/blog/pass-roadmap-spring-summer-2026
(Really looking forward to it for my homelab setup even though the current mechanism works most of the time)

This is super important for Home Lab users who will have their own domain. When I visit any self hosted service, I have dozens of usernames that pop up and I can't select the right one from my mobile phone since the list is limited. This is critical.

This is such a simple feature and the only reason I remain on bitwarden

This is a basic feature all the competitors have. Easy enough to stay away from Proton Pass until they wake up I guess, everyone else can handle this.

For sites that use different domain but same account
examples)
proton.me, protonvpn.com
google.com, youtube.com
etc...Setting domain rules to treat them as the same site.
Like Bitwarden -

At least enable a toggle switch for enabling or disabling fuzzy match.
That will forces the manager to only show credentials that match the full app1.domain.com. and app2. domain.com.

I tried so hard to completely switch to Proton Pass, but I am once again switching back to Bitwarden.
This is still an absolute deal-breaker for me.

I'm baffled how devs still have not implemented this feature

literally even just a small checkbox that would require an exact match could be implemented in a few hours and be light years better than their current implementation

I have lots of sites that are subdomains of a parent domain, and my old password manager could tell the difference. Would be great it Proton Pass would finally do that too.
