Hide notes content by default
As soon as I open the web portal or app, the notes are visible on screen. This is poor security, as anyone around me or a camera can read my entire screen.
Notes should be hidden until I choose to unhide them individually. Apple Notes for example has e locking feature that keeps content hidden until I choose to unlock a note.

+1000 to this. The problem of showing the "first line" of content in the secure notes list view exists for at least the Android app, MacOS app, and browser app. Until this is fixed, secure notes should not be used for keys and PINs - probably better to use the "login" type instead.

This should be a critical much needed feature, as there are now malware on Androids that use AI to read text on a screen and send it to the malware writer.
There should be a setting that notes are hidden by default, and a copy note button, so that we can copy without the notes being visible.

This is super basic and extremely important. Not difficult to implement either. In logins the password is obscured in this way for the same reason. Presumably the notes contain highly sensitive information. It would be irresponsible to leave this information exposed to "shoulder surfers" or screen capture applications.

I agree. Too many over-the-shoulder lurkers. I don't want to see the first line of text myself. I put it under the heading so I can search for the heading. I used to be able to skip the first line to hide the content, now it calls it an "invalid item format."

Totally agree with this. Especially because notes are used to store credentials or other sensitive information that is inconvenient to be directly stored as a login or password (e.g. backup phrases, seed phrases, private keys, PINs).
