Require Proton Password to Unlock
I use a long master password for 1Password and having to enter it to unlock the app every time helps me remember it. I would like for this to be an option instead of the PIN so I can continue to refresh my memory by being required to type out the password daily.

Would be great to have the full password on fresh logins after browser/system restarts, and then the pin for subsequent auto-lock sign-ins.

Agreed, though it would be good if there was a timer we could set before lockout again.

If I read their questions correctly, some members are requesting separate passwords for various Proton services. I thought that's how it was built. I came to ask, if I'm just using the same login to all of them anyway, why isn't there just a Proton Account login that opens up a page with links to all Proton services I have? Maybe it's already possible, but separate logins are still available, so I'll be explicit here with my request.
I propose a universal Proton Account login that would take you to a page with links to your Proton Account (not still buried in Proton Mail settings) plus a complete set of links for all Proton services (as Google does). If you're signed up for those services, the link will take you to your landing page for that feature (my passwords, calendar, mail, etc).
If I haven't signed up for some services, those links would take me to pages explaining the features and my options for adding, including price comparisons and Proton's recommendations based on the member's current plan.
Also, for anyone who doesn't like the sound of having access to all of Proton with just one login, each feature could allow users to require an additional password to unlock that feature from the Proton Account page. And for those who need it, that additional login could also be available as a direct login to that feature only for those who wish to provide separate, direct third party access to any service they use.
Because this would be the common landing page available to all Proton members, the next logical offering would be a Proton homepage, the perfect place to announce new services, publicize news Proton deems important, create a link for Proton Tips (evolution of UserVoice into a Wiki + tutorials?), and personalize the page thematically to some degree and adding desired links via a widget panel like a preferred search engine.
It sounds like a lot, but similar pages already exist everywhere--it's just the next rational step. Yet Proton's would be unique as a password protected homepage embedded with Proton services front and center. Or off to the left in hunter green if you prefer. And if every Proton member is coming through the same gateway, why not lean in? But it can look like abuela drove her peeps home from the casino and put a hole in the cinderblock wall with your mom's 2013 Kia Santa Fe--that's a choice--or opt for a daily commute to life online to your online life via the best portal you can imagine.
Honestly, I'd be creating my own version of it anyway if Proton doesn't. Think of it as the difference between checking into a motel on skid row with scratched bulletproof windows and a gruff security guard who squints, then glares, then grudgingly buzzes you in ... and ... a concierge desk staffed by your bff at the sort of establishment it would be if you designed it to all your own tastes. Both have security, but one also elevates your mood by inviting you to design the lobby. (No social media lurking in mine, except maybe "House P**n," but you do you.)
I made it sound complicated, but you know it's simple. If it sounds cluttered, that's a personal choice. Even with all the widgets I'd add, I'd still create a clean, well-organized, highly functional home page.
The promise of password managers was always to simplify access to hundreds of individual logins with just one you can memorize but also recover if needed via a security code texted to your phone after supplying a few key pieces of info as is currently industry practice (birth date, zip code, specific security questions, etc).
It's what sold me on 1Password, then I just scrolled to the login I needed, and 2-3 more clicks... Done. For the skeptics who always wait a decade, maybe this would check all the boxes so they can finally adopt this app, too.

Exactly!
Using our Proton password for auto-lock is the absolute best way to remember our most important password we own. It's kind of ridiculous that it's not even available for Proton Pass. I don't care about a completely separate password, PLEASE let me make use of the one I already have.
I've been sticking to Bitwarden for this simple option, and I feel a lot more secure because of it, with no fear of forgetting my complex password. -

Either the proton master password, or a dedicated Proton Pass password would be fine. A 6 digit PIN is too insecure on my work computer, given that my employer has the legal right to seize it anytime, even when I am logged in.

This is the single missing feature keeping me from switching to Proton Pass

This is one small thing that is keeping me from switching to Proton Pass. Would like to see the option on all platforms.

This could be prompted every x number of days to refresh the memory

Forgetting Proton masterpassword is scary, but since we are constantly logged in our apps, we don’t practice remembering it (I have to rely on handwritten backups). I would like to see a feature like a reminder pop up window (once a week or month?) that prompt us to enter our Proton password (like Signal does with the PIN).
