Disable interception of passkey
Right now if any website requests for passkeys/security keys, proton pass automatically intercepts the request. It does this, even if proton pass just input the password and now the website invoked for security key. I use my physical security key for this purpose and the interception is annoying.
You can disable passkey interception in the settings menu:
Settings > Passkeys > Authenticate with passkeys

We need a setting to disable this as soon as possible. The UX team also needs to understand the user base better. I'm kind of disappointed that Proton hopped on the recent "passkey" craze so carelessly.

I've literally quit BitWarden because of that "feature" not realizing that Proton Pass had this too? Oof.

This needs to be fixed. Please add a setting disabling this annoying, useless, interception.

I actually went through the email verification and account signup hoops for protonvoice simply to voice my displeasure at this anti-feature.
It actually just silently broke me adding a hardware key to my _proton account_ until I figured out I needed to disable it.
Did anyone test this in FIDO key setup? Seriously, this this protonmail, probably higher than average users with Yuibkeys alone - let alone some kind of hardware key in general.

+1 as this is interfering with the prompt for my physical key, please add option to deactivate it

Same here. I have hardware key and interception of passkey is a real issue.

I'm going to uninstall Proton Pass until this is fixed and migrate back to Firefox's native password management. Intercepting the Windows security dialog and forcing me to click X on the "No passkey found. Save your passkeys in Proton Pass to signin to <site.com>" dialog is actually hostile to users. Why did you think this was ok? I can't use passkeys for work - I *have* to use a hardware token! So thanks for making me close out a dialog box every time I need to login to a site for work.
I'm sad that I only have 3 upvotes to give.

Same here. Huge upvote! At least make it possible for the users the decide if they want to use Proton Pass passkeys or not (or hardware keys). Preferably per (sub-)domain.

Huge upvote on this. It's very frustrating to have to exit out when passkey prompt blocks the login process on a website
