Labeled Vault icons and custom icons
I have difficulties to understand what all Vault icons stands for. It would be easier to choose the appropriate icon for your vault if they are labeled. I wish to request these suggestions beneath:
- Labeled Vault icons.
- More icons.
- Custom icons.

For some reason, only a few of the brands I enter in my list of entries have the brand’s logo that automatically populates. Most of them just have the brand’s name’s first letter in a square, even if I enter the website’s URL in the entry. I would like for all of my entries to populate the brand’s logo, and if it can’t be done, then I’d like the ability to add any picture of my choice as the entry’s “profile picture” when I go to “edit”, this way I could add the logo myself, and it would make it more clear in one glance when I look at my list of entries. I know I can use the magnifying glass feature to look for a specific entry, and I’ll continue using it, but the presence of the logos will still make the app experience more comfortable and comprehensive.

The current icons implementation with pixelated favicons greatly negatively impacts the overall presentation of Proton Pass, which is otherwise beautiful.
As a solution, implement multiple layers for the Icons implementation:
- Provide an auto-matching Rich Icons implementation where the Proton server holds a repository of high resolution icons for most sites. Similar to 1Password.
- Fallback to "apple-touch-icon" if available as they are generally much higher quality than the "favicon".
- Fallback to "favicon".On top of that, an icon chooser:
- Provide a set of stock icons, especially useful for self-hosted services like Nextcloud or logins with no websites linked. An implementation of this can be seen in Aegis Authenticator on Android.
- Then a "custom" option which just lets you choose an image file as the icon. -

Not every web address provides a favicon. I think it'd be nice if we could upload our own icons in place of just seeing two digits.
