Flag unreachable domains in users' vaults
Periodically scan the "Websites" field in users vaults for unreachable domains, then flag those for user's review and possible elimination.
Rationale: over time we all accumulate lots of old passwords on sites that no longer exist. Those passwords only clutter user's vaults and (noticeably!) slow down Proton Pass extension.

Protect Specific Vaults
Idea: hide content of specific vaults behind password (option to be activated by users).
Cause: I store wifi passwords, social security numbers, credit card numbers, recovery keys, and some other quite sensitive data into a specific vault. I would like to hide this vault behind a specific password so I can't see them without typing in that password, even if the application is unlocked.
Keep up the great services 🙏

Add the vault export functionality to Proton Pass CLI
Having the ability to automate backups of your vault via the CLI would be great.

Allow importing kdbx files
kdbx is a popular open source format that also preserves passkey data. This should be allowed as an import option because converting to xml Proton Pass does not import the passkey data correctly and none of my passkeys actual work. I need to regenerate each one in proton pass. :(

Printing list of Passwords
I would like a feature where you can print a physical copy of some passwords so you can access them in an emergency situation in which no devices are available/No access to Proton Pass

save vault unlock settings to proton account
When setting up the extension on a new browser, you have to go through the process of setting the pin code and lock duration every time. It would be great to have the option to have this be handled on the account level so that pins can be managed and reset remotely in case of security breaches. it would also auto lock the extension once you connect your account so that there's no chance the user forgets to lock it down.

Tray Icon for Desktop Authenticator
It would be nice to have a toggleable tray icon for the Windows version of Authenticator, which could run at startup (toggleable) and could open with a single click for the tray would make for quick access without taking up space as a pinned application on the taskbar.

Email address field: Auto-fill account email address button
When creating or editing a login in Proton Pass, an auto-fill icon would be great to instantly use the Proton account email address for the "email" field. The email fields on website already show that feature, but for creating/editing logins I always have to manually type or copy-paste my address into the input field.

Old passwords record
A record of old passwords for each entry. This would be helpful in cases where a password change doesn’t successfully update on a website, allowing users to retrieve previous passwords and avoid being locked out.

Password Reminder
It would be a very useful feature to have a periodic master password reminder, for example every few months, where the user is required to enter the master password in order to avoid forgetting it.
This could be implemented by allowing the user to choose a time interval. Once the interval is reached, access via PIN or biometrics would always be delayed (e.g. by 5 seconds) until the master password has been entered at least once. The delay would continue to apply every time the user unlocks the vault, as long as the master password has not been entered.

Native-feeling Mac app
There is a currently a Mac app but it is really unpleasant to use — it feels like a port of an app from another platform.
- Does not provide native macOS autofill, instead requires a browser extension
- No tabs or windows
- No keyboard shortcuts, you have to rely on the mouse for everything, not even ⌘, for preferences
- No “rubber band” scrolling which is a basic macOS feature that literally every app has
- With an item selected, up and down arrows scroll a bit instead of moving the selection
- Cannot right click an entry to act on it (delete, move, duplicate,…

Proton Pass - start minimized on any linux DE
While close to tray is fully supported on many DE, Proton Pass as an electron app does not support to start minimized.
I've tried a bunch of scripting, but my developing skill sucks. So i guess it would be better to have a native linux app distributed as a flatpak (just lilke with Proton VPN) with the embeded desired option.8 votes -
Fully offline mode with cloud synced option
I would like to see Proton Pass have an option for a fully offline password manager toggle. During the initial setup, it should allow you to pick between Proton Pass servers, or a way to make an end to end encrypted password that would be used to store a copy of the vault's data on iCloud, Google Drive, and Dropbox etc. Then an option to make the password manager fully offline. If a user made the password manager work with online servers, there should be an option in settings to opt into the fully offline password manager. If a user…

Screenshot & Data Masking for Proton Authenticator
Proposal: Enhanced Privacy for Proton Authenticator
We propose a feature to prevent unauthorized data capture of sensitive information within the Proton Authenticator app.
The current state allows third-party apps to capture screenshots, exposing sensitive data like usernames (which often contain email addresses) and other private information.
Proposed Solutions
Screenshot Prevention Toggle: Introduce an option in settings to disable screenshots while the app is in use.
Username Masking: Implement a default "click to view" functionality for usernames, hiding them from plain sight.
Justification
These features would align with Proton's core values by significantly enhancing user privacy and security. Implementing these…

Option to hide password count for the certain website
Option to hide the amount number of saved entries for a website.
Now there is always a sign of the number of entries on all websites even after login. For example using Safari on MacOS you'll see the how many entries you've saved for all the websites before and after logging in.

Native Windows‑wide Autofill integration for Proton services
Proton’s autofill currently works only in the web and mobile apps, which leaves Windows users having to copy-paste or manually type sensitive data into desktop programs. This not only wastes time but also increases the risk of typos and accidental exposure. Competitors such as Bitwarden and 1Password already provide native Windows autofill extensions, leaving Proton at a usability disadvantage on the desktop.
To address this, we propose a lightweight, system-wide autofill extension for Windows — a secure background plugin that uses the Windows clipboard and input APIs to detect form fields and fill them automatically. All data would remain encrypted…

Button to restore the "Current Site" search filter in the extension
When opening the extension on a specific website, Proton Pass correctly filters the login list based on the current URL. However, if I clear this filter to search for a different item manually, there is no quick way to go back to the "Current Site" view without manually re-typing the domain or refreshing the tab.
Suggestion: Please implement a "Reset" or "Current Site" button next to the search bar. This feature would allow users to instantly clear their manual search queries and restore the automatic filter based on the active browser tab URL.

Allow direct signalling of URL where autofill fails
Autofill still does not work on many websites (App Store Connect or a Wordpress installation with 2FA being just some of them). In this case, it would be great if the browser extensions had a simple button to send the URL to Proton so that they could work on that website. I have not found a simple way to flag a given URL, other than opening and filling in a full-fledged support form. The browser extension feature would make it way easier for users to draw Proton's attention to the most needed login forms that need fixing.
