  2. Issues with "Move to Trash"

I've encountered some frustrating usability issues when trying to delete logins in proton Pass. The only available option is "Move to Trash", but this is misleading. In reality, the login and its credentials are PERMANENTLY DELETED, with no way to recover them. This raises 2 critical concerns:

    1. Why label it "Move to Trash" if there's no option to actually restore the deleted login? The term suggests a temporary state, which is not the case here.
    2. Why isn't there a confirmation dialog when the user clicks "Move to Trash"? This omission increases the risk of accidental deletions, which could lead to…

  5. Hidden from OBS streaming/recording

I recently switched from KeePassXC to ProtonPass, hoping for a similar experience. Unfortunately, I've discovered that ProtonPass doesn't seem to have the same level of privacy protection when using screen recording software like OBS. This was a valuable feature in KeePassXC that allowed me to seamlessly switch between streaming and accessing sensitive information without worrying about exposure.
If I've overlooked a setting or feature within ProtonPass that addresses this issue, I'd be happy to learn about it. I've already explored option like hiding programs from OBS, but that doesn't seem to work.

  6. Lock extension in one click (lock button on top of main UI)

Being able to lock the extension quickly is beneficial to security and privacy, such as in a busy workplace or public space. Currently we need to click into navigation and find the lock function in the menu, which takes extra time and clicks.

I propose having a lock icon/button on the top of the extension UI, near the search bar or "Add new item" button, for easy and fast extension locking when needed.

Bonus points if we can set keyboard shortcuts but not sure how feasible that is.

  7. roboform

Add ALL the functionality that RoboForm has. Roboform allows a website login via a Login Button that opens browser and loads and logs in to a site for which I have set up a record. Proton Pass seems not to have this valuable funtionality.

  8. Change Sort Button To Make It More Intuitive

Please consider changing the interface for sorting vault items. It is not immediately apparent that the button for sorting is a drop down menu which contains additional items. By adding a down arrow "v", like most drop down menus have, it would make it more apparent that additional options are available. It took me way too long to figure out how to sort vault items. Thanks for considering this suggestion.

  9. Auto login for .htpasswd protected websites

Actually, if the website is protected by htpasswd, Proton does nothing, we have to copy/paste manually the credentials.

    What I suggest is:

Proton detects if the current website is protected by htpasswd. If yes, it redirects to the https://userlogin:userpassword@website.com

By redirecting with this was, Proton don't have to try to fill the form because it is impossible to do I guess, but redirecting to login with URL directly is the best option for me

  10. Add 2FA for logging in to ProtonPass

To just have a PIN code feels a bit unsafe. Could you add 2FA as an option along with the PIN?

Dashlane has this feature already and it adds an extra layer of security. To only have a 6 number pin code for all your usernames and passwords is madness..

  13. Improve CSV import

    Hi,

There is a bug when we import our passwords from a CSV file.

If one of passwords contains a comma, ex: Josueuw,+@

The part after the comma is not imported, proton saves only Josueuw and skip ,+@

I just discovered it now because one of my passwords were not working

I had a chance and I did not removed my passwords from LastPass

    Please fix it, thank you

  14. Have a static, and unique, link for passwords in shared folder

My team have passwords in shared folders, some are viewer, some are admins.
We would like to be able to have a link (or a protocol, with the proton pass app), that can open proton pass to a password in a shared folder, regardless of the user, as long as the said user can view the folder / password.

Currently, the shared folder has a different ID for each user, which mean we can't share a link (a password in a shared folder has the same ID between user however).
I tried to tinker some links which only works with…

  15. Widget/persistent menu bar shortcut for quick alias creation

Previously, I used DuckDuckGo as my email alias service. Because they expose an API key for alias creation, I found it very useful to make use of Shortcuts in macOS and iOS to generate an alias anywhere.

On iOS, this meant I could pin a widget to my home screen that would instantly create an alias. On macOS, a Shortcuts icon is pinned to the menu bar allowing quick access to alias creation, as well.

This has been particularly helpful at physical retailers, when I'd like to be able to provide an email address to receive my receipt without holding…

  16. Add 2FA OTP codes via QR codes on desktop

The mobile app allows one to add 2FA codes to a login, but the desktop browser extension does not. The Authenticator extension for e.g. Firefox supports this, so it's definitely possible.

It would be nice to not have to open the app on my phone, scan the screen, and force a sync in the extension to get the ground

  20. Item type for logins that are SSO (Single sign on) - Social Logins

Single-sign on (SSO) logins saving are not available. That is the killer feature of 1Password when they implemented it, quality of life improvement is amazing.
I mostly do signups via SSO when it is available (it's much easier), and not being able to save those in a password manager is just problematic . On the subsequent visit to a website (where I do have account via SSO) I am not really sure whether I don't have credentials or I have to guess whether I signed up via Google, or Discord, or Github etc. In order to know, I would have…
