I am missing this feature too. At the very least on desktop versions where there is plenty of space, but I think it's an important feature regardless. Especially for an email service emphasizing privacy and security. Logging out should never be delayed when you want it in my opinion, and it should be clear how to do it.
One should never assume implementing something is easy, but I would think this is low hanging fruit.
