The inability to simply sort emails by sender in Gmail is one of the reasons I want to move away from it (as well as security, obviously). When you're used to MS Outlook at work, with all its various and very easy ways to sort emails, it's extremely hard to keep on top of your personal inbox in Gmail without these same abilities. It makes weeding through your inbox nigh on impossible. It's why I have over 1,000 unread emails in Gmail that I will never find time to go through and delete. I just can't understand why a range of simple sort options aren't standard in every email client.
