    It doesn't matter that a Down-Vote option isn't available because people can still respond to posted comments with their disagreements and can even create their own comments explaining why they disagree with an idea.

    Ironically enough, creating your own brand new comment would garner decidedly more attention and views than a simply down-vote could ever imagine grasping at.

    The down-vote option just isn't necessary when there are presently other methods to express your disagreements, of which are actually more effective at reaching more people in an obvious way because they read the words you choose to post in response to a comment or even in a new comment should you decide to take the time to convey your concerns. Being specific just makes more sense.

    Down vote buttons don't allow for specificity but merely encourage us to be passivist's.
