    Protonmail should add a new type of paid plan that might be interesting for those clients that don't want to subscribe for a monthly/annually/2-year plan. There might be those that want a Lifelong / Perpetual one time payment subscription plan. So Protonmail might set the price (e.g. 120 months paid once) and users would be able to buy their perpetual account.
    P.S. Protonmail might (at least) offer that plan option once a year as a BLACK FRIDAY promo too!
