    You have left! (?) (thinking…)
How important is this to you?

I can live without the notifications and check my email "manually"
I can live with downloading the APK install file from your secure website but would prefer F-Droid

But please don't insult your users by keeping this Google dependency.

    After reading the sensible explanation
    https://protonmail.com/blog/protonmail-threat-model/

and deciding to try Protonmail I was surprised to find that I have to download the mobile Proton email application from a 3rd party.
And even more surprised why Protonmail would promote directly or indirectly and any of the Google Services.

For example, Wire Messenger offers the possibility to download the APK file directly from their website.
Seems like the normal way while F-Droid is pending?
