I was going to post something similar, but this may cover my request as well. My suggestion:
It would be nice if one of the actions in the filter section was to send a notification via text message (for important/urgent emails). In gmail, you can achieve this by forwarding to a cell number. For example, you can filter for important mail and forward it to "5555555@vtext.com" to forward the message to a Verizon number (555) 555-5555. Since this is an encrypted service, and forwarding clear text might not be a good idea, maybe you could just trigger a custom text ("You got important mail form your mom!") to a cell number on a specific mobile service. Alternatively, maybe there could be a setting on the mobile apps to allow some additional notification to pop up on the phone when certain urgent mail is received.
