An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedBad idea. And there was already a topic asking NOT to reuse adresses:
https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-feedback/suggestions/8482354-removing-accounts-after-some-time-of-inactivity-an#commentsjust use a private domain for your mails if you have problems with usernames. makes life way easier and doesn't cost that much. (+you don't have to change your adresses when switching the mailprovider) ;)

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedit´s planned and you could just use signal or threema or wikr... the problem is that there are already a lot of messengers with not many people to use them. and since there are not many people on them, new people won´t use it over whatsapp. more secure messengers won´t fix that problem.

Introducing Docs in Proton Drive – collaborative document editing that’s actually private: https://proton.me/blog/docs-proton-drive
With Docs you can:
- Write with privacy — Create and edit documents within Proton Drive, knowing your contents are only accessible to you and those you choose to share with.
- Share and invite anyone — Invite other users to view or edit your documents with a single click.
- Collaborate in real-time — Changes are reflected immediately, ensuring every contributor always sees the most up-to-date version.
- View cursors and presence indicators — See who else is viewing or editing the document, enhancing teamwork and communication.
- Leave comments and replies — Add comments to share feedback without editing the document. Comments are visible to all collaborators, keeping everyone in the loop.
- Import and export with ease — You can upload .docx documents, edit them, and download in various formats like .docx, .txt, .md, and HTML.

An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedi use spideroak. it was recommended by snowden years ago and works fine for sync. it´s also zero-knowledge.
honestly i would it more to see the protonmailteam collaborate with spideroak than creating their own thing... you can´t build the best of every solution, just get someone who is already doing it fine and work with them. :P
the guerrillamail problem would not apply if you likit the feature to custom domains. otherwise this might lead to blocking of the "normal" @protonmail.com adresses...
But i do think that their silence on some features is telling us enough about their modus operandi. well i will definitly switch if that feature and real pgp support aren't added by june when my current plan ends.
i mean how damn hard is it to add this or pgp? protonmail is still a closed system in regards to encrypted email to other users. pity it started really good.
