It is paramount that no legitimate mail will ever be put in the spam filter. If not, the filter is a total failure, as it forces the user to check the spams anyway.
On top of this, any fool can use services like anonaddy to ensure their mail never reaches any spammer. Just never give your actual mail to anybody but the anti-spam service and the mail provider, and give everyone a different address. As a bonus, you will know who leaked your address if it ever happens.
A fusion between proton mail and such a service would be awesome, by the way.
