Hello @Steve. I am happy to share with you that this feature actually exists. Next to "New Folder" is "Upload Folder". I think Proton should modify this feature to make drag and drop a folder over the website resulting in an upload of the folder. This is something that doesn't work for me at least (Chrome on Linux).

Also clicking "Upload" only allows you to select a file. This should be amended to upload a file or folder, if that is possible.

    Interested in ProtonDrive for Linux.

If resources were made available, the open-source community may be able to come up with a solution. Many here also mentioned insync collaboration as well. This could be a way to boost both of your customer bases.

Finally, in this guy's opinion, collaboration and integration with GNOME via the GNOME Online Accounts would allow you to easily support and advertise to a Privacy and Security-minded community.

Many potential customers may be self-hosting NextCloud.
