An error occurred while saving the comment Time Pencil commentedTHIS IS IMPORTANT
Pass does not allow users to SORT logins by the date their Password was GENERATED, but only by the date the entire login was Created.
Instead, members must Create a NEW login, so that when a SORT is done, one can see passwords "newest to oldest" OR "oldest to newest".
If a new password is inserted into an existing login, the Date of Creation does NOT change, and the SORT by date function becomes irrelevant.
So, either the devs could introduce that 'Date of Password Changed" as a SORT option
--OR--
Make it easy to CLONE a Login. That way:
1. A new password can be put into the Cloned login.
2. The old login can be deleted.
3. A sort by Date of Creation would reflect the age of the Password.Time Pencil supported this idea · -

Both Bitwarden and Norton allow users to set a requirement to re-enter the 'master password' in order to view any particular entry in the vault.
Ideally, this would be a configurable option so that one could set it as:
1. Master Password required for Auto-fill to work AND to View or Edit the Login details in Pass. or,
2. Auto-fill does NOT require Master Password to work, but Master Password IS required to View or Edit the Login in Pass.
3. OFFI am yet to find a single Password Manager, whether in a free or paid tier, that has ALL the features it should have.

An error occurred while saving the comment Time Pencil commentedThere are a few adages that apply here. "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" and "avoid single points of failure".
I'll NEVER have any password manager also store 2FA information. If the password manager gets compromised, then everything is lost.
However, by having TOTPs stored and managed in an independent authenticator app, BOTH the password manager AND the authenticator must be compromised in order to gain access.
Soldiers have a saying, 'Never put comfort before security" and users should "Never put convenience before security."

An error occurred while saving the comment Time Pencil commentedProton Pass browser extension for MS Edge is too small and too dark for practical use in normal lighting conditions.
I do like the colour theme, but an optional "light mode" is desperately needed.
[Edit: (June 2024) Still no 'Light Mode" available, when it should be the default mode. This deficiency is the ONLY thing that has dissuaded me from becoming a paid subscriber. Too bad.]

An error occurred while saving the comment Time Pencil commentedTrying to read a tiny little popup window with text that is dark blue or purple on a black is damn near impossible under most lighting conditions.
Just because CERN likes to build its biggest experiments underground, doesn't mean that Proton Pass users will be happy to crawl into a cave every time they need to use their password manager.
For MOST users, the Pass Identity section would contain their own details, their spouse's, their dependents', and a few (one or two) work colleagues' details.
However, the Contacts list they may have could easily be in the hundreds of people. Having hundreds of people's contact details floating around inside my vault is NOT something I would ever wish to see.
If writing an email, why in he1l would I want to open my Password Manager just to get an email address?
If I need a password, why in he1l would I want to open my email application?
In the Name of Sanity, Proton, please keep Identity and Contacts entirely SEPARATE Do NOT merge them. If Proton introduced such a feature, people would probably leave.
However, you COULD make it an option for such an item to be Cloned from one location into the other. You could even set an option to 'Keep this Identity updated in Pass" option within Contacts, or vice versa.
