    Right now I am using KeepassXC for ssh keys to load into pageant/ssh-agent, and 1password for everything else.
    I would love to have alternatives.

    Yes, please, I really miss it.
    And instead of implementing a ssh agent, maybe better to use the approach to add the keys to other/any ssh agent (a'la KeepassXC)
