    You have left! (?) (thinking…)
How important is this to you?

If you're following this thread, I have a solution for you...

Having switched to Proton from Gmail I also found this really irritating - repeatedly clicking into the next email is desperately tedious...so I wrote some code to fix it.

    https://github.com/tompos2/proton_mail_auto_select_next_message (full instructions included)

Its a userscript that uses Javascript to modify the ProtonMail UI to auto-advance to the next message in your inbox when you press Archive, Delete or Spam in the toolbar.

You don't need any technical knowledge to get it working - just follow the instructions on the Github page. You install the Tampermonkey Browser Extension in Chrome or Firefox, install the script and it will just work.

Currently working with the Archive, Delete and Spam buttons in the main toolbar ONLY.

The invisible buttons that appear on hover in the email list, and the buttons in the email pane itself don't work for now, nor does dragging and dropping emails to folders. But it shouldn't be too much work to add these - if you need this let me know, and I'll see what I can do...

Would love to hear any feedback and if this is useful for you!
