Open the next email automatically after deleting or moving the first one
When I delete a message I want to go directly to the next email, instead of going to the inbox and then click the next email.
This feature is a simple one, but when you have to read a lot of emails it saves a lot of time.
It is available both in Gmail and Yahoo.
Thank you for your attention.

Work on this feature has started, beginning with iOS availability.

You are kidding me right? This is a deal breaker. I just migrated from Gmail but this UI quirk will make me migrate away again.

Are you still working on this feature? It would really help make me more productive. It would be nice if it was available everywhere, but could you please get it released to beta on at least one platform?

This is definitely something sorely missed!!! Get it done Proton!

This needs to be added immediately! I'm trying to migrate away from Google and I really dislike going to the inbox instead of the next email!

You guys are taking the ****, right? You still can't implement this feature after all this time?

I have heard nothing further from Proton on the issue.

How's this progressing? I use the web interface mostly.

Or the previous email! I have newest message on top, so I would like move to the next email in chronological order, which would be the previous email in the list.

Proton mail should automatically go to the next email as a default feature that can be turned off or on (default it to on! who wants an extra click for every **** email in my InBox? NO ONE.) If you actually use Proton Email heavily like I do this is an important feature.
Many Proton Mail users have expressed frustration over having to manually select the next email after deleting or archiving, suggesting that this functionality is standard in other email services like Gmail and Yahoo. It's noted that this feature would significantly enhance productivity, especially for those managing large volumes of emails daily.

Yes this is super critical for me please add

I hope to have a setting to let me choose in which order the next email is opened. I may want to read in a new to old order, but also from old to new.

Basic but critical. Thanks to champion for the tip of pressing enter as a workaround

This is also for me a main productivity feature I need! (In combination with some automatic/faster loading of the next message)

Hi, I didn't see this in your "What's next" blog post today. Is it not coming until next year? This is critical to my productivity -- not only on iOS, but also on the desktop app for Mac OS.

Please make this work on Android too. I was hoping to move everything over to Proton but this is enough of an annoyance to stop me doing that

Can't beleive this basic feature isn't the standard. I wish I knew this before paying for an entire year.

The lack of this ability in the UI bites me in the butt every single day. Please get this implemented sooner than later, thank you!

The system selector should auto highlight the next Email in the Inbox without first going back yet should not auto open the newly selected mail in a separate window-in-a-window (Row Layout) or the detail pane (Column Layout) unless the user chooses otherwise (configurable in a new Settings option).
This control is crucial particularly when using the Web version because there remains the risk of unwanted Emails landing in the Inbox which end up mistakenly being opened automatically e.g. phishing / SPAM mails not caught by ProtonMail.

Shame on protonmail for waiting like 8,5 years for beginning on this otherwise mandatory feature. Just found a workaround on google:
Keyboard Shortcuts: ProtonMail offers keyboard shortcuts (e.g., T+Enter for deleting and opening the next email, A+Enter for archiving and opening the next email) that can be used to navigate emails quickly. While not exactly an auto-advance feature, these shortcuts can streamline your email management process.

Better than nothing while waiting for decades. -

@Thomas Smith - there is no such setting. Neither in android app nor web version. I am also a beta tester. Is it me that is blind or? Confused.
