    This is an interesting solution. I would even say brilliant. But this is definitely not the experience that the Proton developers intended.

    The problem you described is also experienced by other people, for example, those living in Iran and Russia.

    And we are all REALLY waiting for Proton to finally solve the problem of connecting to servers.

    For example, Mullvad makes a LOT of NOTICEABLE efforts to ensure that their users can use VPN even in countries where it is blocked…

    They have many articles with instructions, for example, on setting up bridges:
    1. Shadowsocks for Android
    2. Shadowsocks with v2ray
    3. xtls with Mullvad VPN
    4. SSH and Mullvad VPN
    There is an option "Test the API connection".

    All this is missing in ProtonVPN!

    Of course, this is NOT ADVERTISING for competitors. I just really want our favorite product to have these features and even more!

    I'm not a super-technical specialist - but there are plenty of ideas/suggestions on how to make API connection available even on this site with ideas.
