This is the only reason I still use 1Password, although I use Proton Pass alias features.
I think Proton implemented the "extra" password backwards. They added an extra password option for Proton Pass after you're already signed into Proton Mail.
- This should be reversed
- Single password to access Proton Pass only — you're locked out of other Proton services
- Proton Mail password is separate from Proton Pass
- Allows a very secure password for Proton Mail (very important)
- Allows authenticator MFA/2FA codes accessible separately from Proton Mail
