    I have just cleaned out Google, but have also tried out OneDrive as a parallel.

    Would love the OneDrive feature where the photos from "my files" are showing in the "photo" section. This allows me to upload photos to my files, organize them in folders they way i want, and simultaneously use photo-gallery by date and albums. This is a really good feature because i feel i "own" and controll my photo files and display them through "photos" when necessary.

    The only thing im NOT enjoying about OneDrive solution is the bad metadata/photo-date problems when uploading and the convenience of face-recognition (but this I can manage without for the sake of privacy).

    It would also be nice to be able to share photos through a password-protected link like you can with folders/files.

    At the moment, i think this is the one think keeping me from going all in Proton with my family.

    As mentioned by others here; photos are files and should be treated as such. I want to have controll over my photos as files, but its convenient to VIEW them in a "photos tab" or section.

    I see that you are working on a "public folder" as well, and just as important is it for me that the files in such a folder (which for me atleast usually are photos) should be viewable in the "photo" section, but stored as a part of "my files".

    I also note that it is possible to share files, but not photos (!?). For me, this is a make it or break it moment. Should my family and I be able to use Proton as our main file/email hub, this needs to be smooth.
