Look, I don't mean to sound persnickety but I've been writing software professionally in some capacity for over 34 years and the idea that you have a layout setting that surfaces only a Row and Column option, then on ONE of those options it automatically comes with a preview pane, Column, splitting message list as one column with preview pane as another column, but for some reason the selection of the Row layout give one massive message list and no preview, is a a design bug. And more than that, it's tarded in 2025, it's really offensive. I've bought in for two years so I'll live with it, and, since proton mail is my ***** mail handler not my personal private mail, I can limp along in stupid mode for the time being. But proton mail isn't exactly new, and the fact that the system works this way is just beyond disappointing. If this was my business, I'd be firing the dev team supervisor and leads because this conceptual oversight is a bug like any calculation bug, and it's just WRONG!
