I am glad to hear that features like categories and an SSH agent will be implemented in the near future. However, these are already included in Bitwarden's free tier.
Furthermore, in the day-to-day use of a password manager, there are surprisingly many situations where alternative input methods besides the inline menu are necessary.
For instance, when managing multiple accounts on a single platform like Google Workspace, finding the specific account you need via the inline menu can be quite cumbersome. (It would be helpful if we could at least search and filter candidates directly within the inline menu, but...)
In such situations, triggering autofill directly from the extension popup is far more convenient.
Given this, the only areas where Proton Pass currently outperforms Bitwarden are its "strong security" and "excellent UI/UX."
While both of these are undeniably important, the availability of multiple autofill methods is a much more practical and immediate issue for daily use.
