I recently decided that I wanted to move away from American Big Tech. I am sick and tired of my entire digital existence being utilized, if not weaponized, by big companies trying to profit off of my data. Furthermore, I don't want to be vulnerable to the whims of an administration led by a group with seemingly autocratic ambitions, that have no qualms about threatening their allies to get what they want, and retaliate when they don't.
My first step in that was to buy a Proton subscription, and I have been quite happy with it so far. Now I don't have to rely on my Outlook and Gmail anymore. The next step was to get out of Windows, especially now that Copilot is being pushed on users whether they want it or not. As such I was happy when I saw that Proton VPN has a Linux app. So imagine my disappointment when I found out that there is no Linux App for Drive, when there are options available for the exact platform I'm trying to get away from.
Please, prioritize making Proton Drive compatible with Linux for automatic back-ups and syncing. From what I have seen on this forum, it would make a significant proportion of your customers very happy.
