ProtonMail offers encrypted contacts for both web and mobile applications (https://protonmail.com/blog/encrypted-contacts-manager/). Calendar and note functionality will be released in the future.

The lack of this single feature makes Protonmail unusable and insecure on a new Android/iOS phone.
In order to use SMS, Phone, or secure 3rd party messaging apps, Proton forces you to use a 3rd party contact management system.
Proton has had this feature "planned" since 2019 and has not acted on it in seven years.
Totally unacceptable that Proton forces its paying customers to use Google or other 3rd party services to manage contacts on their mobile devices.
Tuta has provided secure contact management with native Android sync since 2024.
