Great idea, Daniel! This would be a really useful feature for users who want to consolidate all their email accounts into Proton Mail without juggling multiple tabs or apps.

While we wait for Proton to implement native POP3/IMAP alias support, one workaround worth exploring is the Shoviv IMAP to IMAP Migration Tool. It lets you migrate emails from virtually any IMAP-supported email service directly to another IMAP account — so you can pull in messages from Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, or other providers into your Proton Mail account seamlessly. It preserves folder structures, attachments, and metadata, which makes the transition clean and hassle-free.

It's not a perfect substitute for live aliasing, but for anyone wanting to centralize their existing emails into Proton Mail right now, it's a solid option to consider. Hopefully, Proton adds proper SMTP/IMAP alias support soon — this feature has clearly been in demand for a while!
