   Interesting reading this thread — Memory did ship with Lumo v2.0, yet the recent comments show people still hitting its limits. I suspect what's really being asked for isn't memory itself, but control over it.

   Two things struck me:

   To those wary of quiet accumulation — fair concern. The answer isn't "there are controls"; it's opting out per-conversation, not just globally.
   To those wanting segregated directories or juggling Project files — you're both describing the same thing: user-controlled memory compartments.
   So I've posted a formal suggestion that bridges both — a "New Private Chat" option (no memory in, no memory out, with clear indicators) plus memory "containers" that don't bleed into each other:
