I've been a subscriber since 2019 because I believe Proton to be ahead of the game on security & privacy, but so far at the cost of a little accessibility. Let's fix that! I currently work around this using Proton Bridge with Outlook but I feel less in control of my privacy that way, and this doesn't work with Calendar whatsoever (at least for a two-way sync of events).
A Proton Mail desktop app, encrypted at rest, built from the ground up with offline and privacy in-mind, would allow me to work offline in way I would trust above all other solutions. Right now I feel like I have to compromise between privacy and accessibility, and I think Proton could win over a lot more paying customers by resolving that disparity.
