    The features mentioned here can definitely be useful, especially if you are dealing with an orphaned or inaccessible OST file. However, not everyone needs all of those advanced options just to convert an OST file to PST.

    If the OST is still connected to a working Outlook profile, you can first try the built-in Outlook export option. Go to File → Open & Export → Import/Export, choose Export to a file, select Outlook Data File (.pst), and then select the folders you want to export.

    The problem is that this method depends on Outlook being able to access the mailbox. If you only have an old OST file and the original Outlook profile is gone, you may need a tool that can process the OST directly.

    For smaller OST files, OST to PST Converter is another option worth trying. Its free version lets you convert up to 500 MB of OST data to PST, so you can test the conversion without purchasing the full version first. You can also preview the mailbox data and filter emails before converting.

    If you only need to recover or convert a smaller OST file, having a 500 MB free conversion limit can be enough to get the job done without paying upfront.
