    Hangouts is a way on Gmail to send instant messages to each other or instant emails
    if you will. Both people have to be in their Gmail at the same time to send and receive
    the messages. If some one sends you a message using hangouts and your not in your
    Gmail the message will still arrive but it will be in your hangouts dialog box. You can
    send instant videos and pictures in hangouts also.
