    This thread goes back at least five years. Proton clearly does not want to allow us to sort the emails by date or by sender. I would like to know why they don't want to do this.

    I still see my comment from 2020 and 2021. Like many other posters I have several thousand emails, most of which I would want to delete. Like others I have started this several times and then gave up. I don't have the time to waste in that fashion. I started again to day and then quit. This is also the reason why I still continue to use my outlook email address.

    I would not be surprised if more than half of the proton server space would not be needed if we could sort and delete by sender.

    I can't believe this is not already available in ProtonMail. Sorting by sender makes it incredibly easier to delete emails by sender as they are all grouped together. It also makes it easier to move a bunch of emails from a specific sender to a folder.I have been using ProtonMail for two years and the lack of the ability to sort by sender, makes me think I will shift back to Outlook which I still use and then drop ProtonMail or try another secure mail provider.
