At least you could consider adding an option to "trust this computer", so that Protonmail doesn't ask for two-factor passcode apart from password each and every time. This is such a pain in the neck that I am thinking of disabling 2FA. I don't know what's more secure: to not stay logged in but disable 2FA, or to stay logged in with 2FA enabled? I think the latter is obviously more secure.
